Southport is an island in the Boothbay region of Midcoast, Maine.  It is where I live.  The Newagen Inn is at the furthest tip of the island which has been known as Newagen  (say New Wagon)  since the earliest days when it was a fishing station in 1623.  Here is an article in the Boothbay Register that tells of renovations to the Inn and some of its history.  The picture is the view out to sea from the Inn.
